Harriet Phillips Reveals Emotional ‘Pinch-Me’ Moment With King Charles and Queen Camilla at Her Wedding

Princess Anna daughter in law Harriet Phillips has opened up about her unforgettable wedding day with Peter Phillips, revealing that seeing King Charles and Queen Camilla among the guests was an extraordinary ‘pinch-me’ moment she struggled to put into words.

Princess Anne’s daughter-in-law reflected on the special occasion while discussing her new life as a member of the Royal Family in an interview with Hello! Magazine.

Harriet was asked how she felt arriving at the church as a bride, with the world’s press gathered outside and several senior members of the Royal Family, including the King and Queen, attending her wedding.

Despite the enormous media attention surrounding the occasion, Harriet revealed that she was determined not to let the cameras and photographers distract her from enjoying the day.

She described the presence of the press as little more than background noise, explaining that her priority was to remain focused on the celebration and the people who mattered most.

“Of course, you’re aware that people are around you, but I really wanted to enjoy it and be present. I was so happy. That’s very natural for me. I was peaceful. I prayed. Maybe the peace of God came over me,” she said.

However, the presence of King Charles and Queen Camilla created a particularly memorable moment for the new royal bride.

Harriet admitted that seeing the monarch and his wife at her wedding was difficult to describe, calling the experience both incredible and a genuine pinch-me moment.

She revealed that the occasion was so emotional that she came close to crying while taking in the significance of having such senior royal figures celebrating alongside her.

“I can’t really put it into words. It was just so special. I was close to crying, but I held it together,” Harriet shared.

The bride also reflected on the deeper meaning of her wedding, describing it as a celebration of love and the people who had come together to support her and Peter.

For Harriet, the occasion was particularly meaningful because it marked the beginning of a new chapter with Princess Anne’s son and their blended family.

“There’s nothing like a wedding day, because everyone’s there for you and you’re there for love. It was the happiest day of my life, apart from when my daughter was born,” she added.

Her comments offer a rare glimpse into the personal emotions behind a wedding that attracted considerable royal attention.

Although the presence of the King, Queen and other senior royals undoubtedly made the occasion extraordinary, Harriet’s reflections suggest that remaining present and appreciating the love surrounding her mattered far more than the public spotlight.

Since marrying Peter, Harriet has also spoken about adjusting to her new family circumstances and finding her place within the Royal Family.

She has credited her husband with helping her navigate unfamiliar royal traditions while remaining connected to the grounded values instilled in her during childhood.

Her latest revelations show just how special the wedding was for her, with the opportunity to celebrate alongside the King and Queen becoming one of the most unforgettable memories of her new life with Peter.
