Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie Set for £5m Royal Inheritance as Future Roles Come Into Focus
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie could receive £5 million inheritance when they reach 40 as fresh attention turns towards the York sisters finances and the roles they might eventually play within the monarchy.
The daughters of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson retain their HRH styles and Princess titles despite never becoming working members of the royal family, meaning both women have established independent careers while maintaining their connections with King Charles and the wider family.
According to claims highlighted in a Channel 5 documentary examining royal wealth, Beatrice and Eugenie are expected to receive a share of a £5 million inheritance established by their great-grandmother, the Queen Mother.
The programme, which examined the reported fortunes of prominent members of the royal family, placed the sisters jointly in eighth position on its “Royal Rich List 2026,” based on estimates of their personal wealth.
Unlike their cousins Prince William and Prince Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie were not given permanent positions as working royals and therefore needed to establish professional careers independent of taxpayer-supported official royal duties.
Beatrice has built a career in business, with her annual salary at technology company Afiniti reportedly estimated at between £150,000 and £200,000, according to figures cited by the Express.
Eugenie, meanwhile, pursued a career in the art world and secured a position with international gallery Hauser & Wirth, where her reported annual salary has been estimated at more than £100,000.
However, the documentary suggested employment earnings represent only part of the sisters’ financial position, pointing towards a number of alleged royal “windfalls” that have contributed to their wealth over the years.
Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths said one important trust fund was established following their parents’ divorce in 1996. “The Queen gave them a £1.4million trust fund,” she claimed while discussing their financial background.
Another substantial payment could reportedly arrive when the sisters reach their 40th birthdays. The documentary narrator described it as “another whopping windfall,” involving a reported share of a £5 million inheritance from the Queen Mother.
Griffiths explained that the money has allegedly remained in a fund accumulating interest, potentially leaving Beatrice and Eugenie with what she described as a “good stipend” once they become eligible to receive it.
The documentary ultimately estimated that each sister currently has a net worth of approximately £3.5 million. Such figures remain estimates, however, because the full details of their private finances and alleged trusts are not publicly disclosed.
Their future importance could extend beyond money. Royal author Ingrid Seward has suggested Beatrice and Eugenie may eventually become “valuable assets” for Prince William when he becomes King, particularly as the number of working royals remains limited.
There is no confirmation that William intends to give either sister an official working role, nor does the reported inheritance depend on such a position. Nevertheless, Beatrice and Eugenie’s independent careers, royal connections and potential £5 million family windfall ensure their place within the future monarchy will continue attracting considerable attention.
