Meghan Markle Ends Netflix Partnership For As Ever Brand As Duchess Prepares For Global Expansion

Meghan Markle has confirmed a major shift in her business strategy after deciding to end the partnership between her lifestyle brand As Ever and the streaming giant Netflix.

The surprising move comes just eleven months after the brand launched with support from the platform that originally signed a lucrative deal with Meghan and Prince Harry following their departure from royal duties.

According to reports, Meghan Markle decided it was time for her brand to move forward independently as it continues to grow rapidly.

The lifestyle venture, As Ever, was created to reflect Meghan’s passion for simple living, home inspiration and everyday elegance.

When the brand debuted in March 2025, Netflix played a key role in helping launch the project by providing development teams and behind the scenes support.

The partnership initially appeared to signal a long term collaboration between Meghan’s business ambitions and Netflix’s global media reach.

However insiders now claim that the Duchess eventually felt restricted by the structure of the agreement and wanted more freedom to expand the brand internationally.

Journalist Matt Wilkinson reported that sources close to Meghan said she felt relieved after deciding to move forward on her own.

According to those sources, the Duchess remained on friendly terms with Netflix leadership, including company co chief executive Ted Sarandos.

Despite that positive relationship, Meghan reportedly wanted full control of the brand’s future direction as it enters its next phase of growth.

Insiders suggested the streaming company had taken a cautious approach to expansion, while Meghan was eager to accelerate the brand’s global presence.

With strong demand for the products and growing interest from customers, Meghan reportedly believed the moment was right to operate independently.

A spokesperson for As Ever confirmed the company’s appreciation for the partnership with Netflix during the brand’s early development.

The representative explained that the collaboration helped establish the brand during its launch phase and contributed to its rapid early success.

At the same time, the spokesperson said the brand is now ready to stand on its own as it prepares for an exciting new chapter.

Netflix also issued a supportive message following the announcement, praising Meghan’s vision for creating a lifestyle brand centered on elevating everyday moments.

The company said it was pleased to have helped bring the idea to life and expressed enthusiasm about seeing the brand continue to grow.

Although the partnership related specifically to As Ever has ended, it remains unclear whether the broader content agreement between the Sussexes and Netflix will continue.

For now, Meghan appears focused on guiding As Ever into its next stage as an independent venture with ambitions to reach households around the world.
