Prince William and Princess Kate Share Palace Update as Prince Harry’s GQ Interview Sparks Fresh Speculation

Prince William and Princess Kate have shared a new video highlighting their role in the Omani state visit as Prince Harry’s latest interview about family reconciliation fuels fresh speculation about tensions within the Royal Family.
Kensington Palace released footage of the Prince and Princess of Wales attending the important diplomatic occasion, which saw King Charles and Queen Camilla welcome Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman to Britain.
William and Kate were among the senior royals involved in receiving the visiting royal guests, later joining the King and Queen at the state banquet held to celebrate relations between the two countries.
The Palace’s social media update offered a glimpse of the day’s key moments, including the formal banquet and the royal family’s participation in the state visit.
“A banquet celebrating the relationship between Oman and the UK for the State Visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik,” the accompanying description read.
The footage also included part of the King’s speech, in which Charles praised William and expressed confidence in his ability to carry forward the monarchy’s legacy.
The update arrived as Harry’s appearance on GQ’s One More Question podcast attracted attention for his comments about his strained relationship with his brother and his desire for reconciliation.
The Duke of Sussex said he wanted his family relationships to improve, explaining that disagreements between siblings and parents were common experiences that many people could relate to.
However, the timing of the interview has reportedly frustrated some royal insiders, particularly because it appeared during a major state visit involving the King and other senior members of the Royal Family.
According to reports, some sources were unhappy that Harry’s remarks about family estrangement emerged while William and Kate were carrying out their official responsibilities alongside Charles and Camilla.
Kensington Palace has not issued a formal response to Harry’s interview, and its video update did not directly mention the Sussexes or the ongoing family rift.
The Waleses have generally avoided publicly commenting on Harry and Meghan’s activities, and their latest post focused on the diplomatic significance of the Omani visit.
Although Harry has once again expressed a desire to reconcile with his brother, there has been no public indication from William that he is ready to respond to the appeal.
The Palace’s social media post therefore offers no clear evidence of William and Kate’s private reaction to the interview, despite speculation about the timing of the two events.
For now, the Waleses’ attention remains publicly focused on their official duties, while Harry’s comments have reopened discussion about whether reconciliation between the brothers is possible.
Whether the latest exchange will affect their relationship remains uncertain, with neither side announcing any new development in private discussions or plans for a reunion.
