Prince Harry’s New Master Plan Leaves William With Fresh Diana Concern After Royal Win

Prince Harry is reportedly preparing a major new media push involving a podcast and a Princess Diana documentary potentially creating another source of tension with Prince William just as the future King appeared to have secured greater clarity over his brother’s royal position.

King Charles recently reinforced the arrangements established after Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from working royal duties, with a letter issued through the Lord Chamberlain clarifying that the Sussexes continue to operate independently from the monarchy.

The communication described Harry and Meghan as effectively private citizens in an institutional sense, while making clear that their charitable and commercial activities are undertaken personally rather than as representatives of Charles or the wider royal family.

The clarification was interpreted by some commentators as a significant development for William, amid reports that the Prince of Wales wanted firm boundaries maintained following Harry and Meghan’s increased presence in Britain and renewed speculation about reconciliation.

However, according to Woman’s Day, Harry is already considering ways of expanding his public profile independently, with an insider claiming the Duke remains particularly interested in podcasting after following the success of other personalities using the format.

“Harry loves the podcast format – he follows several podcasters and, yes, he has seen Mike’s [Tindall] and how it helped make William and Kate seem so much more personable,” the source claimed.

Any podcast would fall within the independent commercial freedom Harry and Meghan retain outside the working monarchy. Charles’ recent clarification did not prevent the Sussexes from pursuing media projects, businesses, charitable initiatives or other personal ventures.

The potentially more sensitive project, however, reportedly concerns Princess Diana. The insider claimed Harry and Meghan are placing considerable attention on developing a documentary about his late mother and have begun exploring possible contributors connected with her life.

“The big focus for him and Meghan is the Diana documentary, and already he’s reached out to several old friends of his mum to get involved,” the source alleged, although no formal documentary announcement has been made.

The report went further by suggesting another project could accompany the documentary. “A Diana audiotape series to be released in partnership with promoting the documentary is also being whispered about,” the insider claimed.

Such plans could prove particularly sensitive because Diana remains one of the strongest emotional connections shared by Harry and William despite their strained relationship. Both brothers have repeatedly been associated with efforts to preserve their mother’s legacy in their own ways.

According to the report, Charles’ clarification had allowed William to feel somewhat reassured about the Sussexes’ institutional boundaries, but the alleged Diana project has now created another concern. The source claimed William remains “disjointed over this Diana project.”

The Prince of Wales could also reportedly refuse Harry access to royal or family archive material relating to Diana if such permission were required for the proposed production. However, there has been no official confirmation that Harry has requested archive access or that William intends to block it.

For now, claims about Harry’s podcast, Diana documentary and possible audio series remain based on insider reporting rather than confirmed announcements from the Sussexes. What is clear from Charles’ clarification is that Harry and Meghan remain free to pursue independent commercial projects, meaning royal boundaries may be settled while disagreements over Diana’s legacy could still create fresh friction between the brothers.
