King Charles Team Makes Quiet Update After Prince Harry’s Remembrance Day Decision

King Charles’ team has quietly updated the Royal Family’s official Instagram profile picture ahead of Remembrance Day shortly after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their upcoming visit to Belgium.

On November 6, the royal account changed its display image to honour the Armed Forces as the country prepares to mark Remembrance Sunday.

The new photograph features King Charles attending last year’s Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London.

The update reflects the Royal Family’s focus on the annual commemorations, which honour those who have served and sacrificed their lives.

Meanwhile, the Palace confirmed that the Duchess of Gloucester carried out an important royal engagement on behalf of Queen Camilla.

She planted a cross at the Field of Remembrance, continuing a long-standing tradition involving members of the Royal Family.

The Palace explained that the ceremony transforms the grounds near Westminster Abbey into a sea of wooden crosses bearing poppies.

The statement described the event as a poignant part of the nation’s preparations for Remembrance Sunday.

It also noted that the ceremony is usually held on the Thursday before Remembrance Sunday and marks the beginning of the country’s formal period of remembrance.

The Instagram change came after Harry and Meghan announced plans to travel to Brussels on Tuesday, November 10.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are scheduled to visit the Belgian capital to open the Lost Screen Memorial.

Their announcement attracted attention because the visit falls during the period when the Royal Family carries out its important Remembrance engagements.

Harry’s decision to schedule the Brussels visit separately has been viewed as a way to avoid competing for attention with the Royal Family’s commemorations.

The developments mean that both the working royals and the Sussexes have engagements connected to the same period, although their activities will take place separately.
