Prince George Set for Family Reunion With William and Kate as Eton Holiday Dates Revealed

Prince George is set to spend time with Prince William, Princess Kate and his younger siblings during an upcoming school break, with Eton College’s autumn calendar giving the young royal an opportunity to return home for Halloween and Bonfire Night.

According to the school’s published term dates, Eton’s first long leave of the academic year will run from Friday, October 23, to Sunday, November 8, giving boarding pupils a break from lessons and their usual school routine.

For George, who began his first term at Eton on September 8, the holiday will provide an opportunity to spend time with his family after several weeks at the prestigious Berkshire school.

The Prince of Wales and Princess Catherine are expected to continue balancing their royal responsibilities with family life, while George’s younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, remain part of the household routine.

The timing of the break also coincides with two popular autumn occasions in Britain: Halloween on October 31 and Bonfire Night on November 5.

The Wales family generally keeps its seasonal celebrations private, meaning there is no confirmed plan for how they will spend either occasion this year. However, Kate has previously been spotted shopping for Halloween costumes for her children, offering a glimpse of the family’s interest in the festivities.

Bonfire Night could also provide an opportunity for an evening out if the family chooses to attend a local event. Royal Windsor Racecourse is advertising a fireworks display for November 7, during George’s scheduled school holiday.

The venue is close to the family’s Windsor residence and describes the event as a welcoming night out for families and friends. There has been no announcement that William, Kate or their children intend to attend.

George may already have had an opportunity to return home since beginning at Eton. The school’s first short leave ran from October 2 to October 4, allowing boarding pupils to spend a weekend away from the school grounds.

His move to Eton marks an important new stage in his education, following in the footsteps of his father, William, who also attended the school.

George was accompanied by William and Kate on his first day in September, when the family marked the transition together. The young prince is now boarding at Manor House, the same boarding house where his father and uncle Prince Harry previously stayed.

The change has attracted public interest because George is the eldest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales and one day is expected to become King. For now, however, his routine centres on school, learning and adjusting to boarding life.

The upcoming long leave offers a scheduled pause from that routine, although details of the family’s private plans remain unknown.

For William and Kate, the holiday may provide time together with all three children away from the demands of the school term. Whether they choose quiet family celebrations or a local autumn event has not been confirmed.

George’s first autumn break at Eton will therefore be an opportunity to reconnect with home life, while the public will have to wait for any official information about how the Wales family spends the seasonal holiday.
