Kate Middleton’s Brother Send Message to Prince George After Prince William’s Proud Post
Princess Kate’s brother James Middleton reacted to Prince George’s latest milestone after Prince William and Kate released new photographs of their eldest son beginning an important chapter in his education.
The 13-year-old Prince recently started at Eton College, with William and Kate accompanying their son as he arrived at the prestigious school for the first time and prepared to adjust to his new surroundings.
The Prince and Princess of Wales commemorated the milestone through their official Instagram account, releasing striking photographs of George dressed in his new school uniform as he formally embarked on his Eton journey.
The images generated an enthusiastic response from royal followers, but among the many comments was a particularly personal message from James, who showed his support for his nephew and proud parents.
“Big day,” James wrote beneath the photographs, accompanying the brief message with a heart emoji. His reaction highlighted the significance of George’s latest step for Kate’s wider family as well as the royals.
The occasion is likely to have been particularly emotional for William and Kate as their eldest child moves into a more independent stage of his teenage years after previously enjoying a closely protected family upbringing.
James’ reaction also prompted an unexpected discussion among royal fans about George’s appearance, with several followers suggesting the young Prince increasingly resembles members of his mother’s side of the family.
One follower replied directly to James: “Very much can see you and Mike in George!” The reference to “Mike” appeared to concern James and Kate’s father, Michael Middleton, George’s maternal grandfather.
Another person agreed that the family resemblance was particularly noticeable, commenting: “He is a Middleton for sure! Looks like you and your father,” beneath the Waleses’ photographs.
Not everyone believed George had inherited predominantly Middleton features, however. Other royal watchers argued that the teenager appears to be an increasingly clear combination of both William and Kate as he grows older.
“Such a lovely mix of both William and Catherine!” one follower wrote, reflecting the view of those who could see characteristics from both sides of George’s family in the newly released images.
The photographs also attracted attention because George was wearing Eton’s distinctive traditional uniform, consisting of a tailcoat, winged collar and white tie, giving the future King a noticeably grown-up appearance.
George’s arrival at the school carries additional family significance because William began his own education at Eton 31 years earlier. The young Prince is therefore following directly in his father’s footsteps at the Windsor-based institution.
For Kate’s family, however, George’s first day appears to have been more than simply another royal occasion. James’ affectionate “Big day” message provided a rare public glimpse of the Middleton family’s support as their 13-year-old nephew and grandson takes another significant step towards adulthood.
