Meghan Markle Ditches Prince Harry for Surprise Solo Appearance at Luxury UK Club
Meghan Markle has made a surprise solo appearance at an exclusive private members club in Oxfordshire stepping out without Prince Harry as the Duchess begins settling into her new routine following the Sussex family’s return to Britain.
The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly spotted at Soho Farmhouse, the countryside outpost of the luxury Soho House members’ club, situated across a sprawling estate in north Oxfordshire and close to the Cotswolds.
The sighting is particularly notable because Harry and Meghan have largely maintained a low profile since arriving at Birmingham Airport on a charter flight from California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Royal commentator Tom Sykes reported Meghan’s appearance, saying he had received confirmation from more than one person. “Multiple sources have confirmed her presence at the venue to me,” he wrote while revealing details of the outing.
According to Sykes, Meghan arrived at the exclusive retreat alone before 9am and headed towards an adults-only lounge area located above the property’s main restaurant rather than remaining in the more public areas of the venue.
“[Meghan] arrived alone, I’m told, before 9am, and made her way directly to the relaxed upstairs area known as the Comfy Farm,” Sykes explained, describing it as a lounge space where children are not permitted.
The commentator claimed Meghan received considerable attention upon arriving. Sources reportedly described a “fanfare” surrounding her appearance, with the Duchess being informally introduced by name to several senior members of staff.
Sykes suggested the welcome could indicate staff hope Meghan will become a regular visitor as she spends more time in the area. The Sussexes are believed to be temporarily based near the Cotswolds while searching for a permanent British residence.
Meghan’s willingness to venture out alone also comes despite continuing concerns surrounding the Sussex family’s security arrangements in Britain, an issue that Harry has repeatedly considered particularly important for his wife and their two children.
The Duchess’ appearance indicates that her extended stay will not necessarily mean remaining confined to the family’s temporary home. Instead, Meghan appears to be gradually establishing her own routine while Archie and Lilibet adjust to their new lives.
Harry is similarly preparing to continue his charitable commitments. The Duke is expected to participate in a fundraising skydive connected with a promise made to 102-year-old Second World War veteran Ed Marshall, with Sunnybrook Foundation involved in the charitable effort.
Meanwhile, Meghan is expected to continue overseeing her As Ever lifestyle business while maintaining her charitable interests. The Sussexes are also expected to preserve their professional and philanthropic connections in the United States despite spending an extended period in Britain.
Her outing comes as speculation continues over whether Meghan could eventually return to acting. The Gentlemen star Theo James has recently addressed rumours connecting the former Suits actress with the popular Netflix series, although he dismissed the casting speculation as “hot air.”
For now, Meghan’s Soho Farmhouse appearance provides another indication of how the Sussexes intend to approach their British chapter.
