Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Receive Billionaire Friend Support for UK Move

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received financial support from a billionaire friend as they prepare to establish a new life in UK with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The Sussexes are said to have been planning their return to the UK for around six months, suggesting that the move was carefully considered rather than being a sudden decision announced to the public.

The reported relocation is also unlikely to be a simple move from one home to another, with Harry and Meghan understood to be retaining their multimillion-dollar Montecito mansion in California as well as their vacation property in Portugal.

At the same time, the couple have reportedly invested heavily in a new residence in the Cotswolds, although the precise location has not been publicly disclosed amid concerns over the family’s privacy and security.

The reported cost of their new home has generated considerable curiosity, particularly as Harry and Meghan have maintained that they are living independently and are not relying on financial support from King Charles.

Questions have consequently emerged over how the Sussexes are managing the expense of maintaining multiple properties while establishing themselves in Britain and continuing their various professional ventures.

According to a report from Page Six, however, a billionaire friend of the couple may have played an important role in helping them with their plans for the UK.

Ian Wace, the founding partner, chief executive officer and chief risk officer of Marshall Wace LLP, has reportedly been helping finance Harry and Meghan’s move back to Britain, according to two sources cited by the outlet.

Wace, who is 63, is a prominent figure in the financial world and co-founded Marshall Wace, one of the major hedge fund firms, in 1997. His reported involvement has therefore attracted considerable attention.

Harry is understood to have maintained a close friendship with Wace for years, with the financier reportedly becoming part of the Sussexes’ wider social circle.

The friendship has apparently extended beyond occasional meetings, as Harry and Meghan have reportedly taken Archie and Lilibet to spend time at Wace’s private property.

The reported connection has now fueled speculation about the extent to which the billionaire may have assisted the Sussexes as they prepared for their return to Britain and made arrangements for their new home.

However, the claims have not been independently confirmed by the Sussexes or Wace. When Page Six reportedly approached Wace’s representative for comment, the representative declined to comment, while the Sussexes’ representative had not responded at the time of publication.

As a result, questions remain over whether Wace has actually provided financial assistance toward the family’s relocation or whether his involvement has been overstated by the sources cited in the report.

For now, Harry and Meghan are reportedly beginning their new chapter in Britain while maintaining significant links to their life overseas. If the claims about Wace’s involvement are accurate, the billionaire financier could have played a notable behind-the-scenes role in helping the Sussexes make one of their biggest lifestyle changes since leaving royal duties.
