Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Return to TV Screens as Exciting Behind-the-Scenes Update Emerges

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in the television spotlight as a TV show featuring couple arrives on Hulu with fresh behind the scenes footage offering viewers another glimpse into the making of the royal special.

The programme examines the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s high-profile return to Britain and features contributions from royal commentators and experts discussing what the development could mean for their complicated relationship with the Royal Family.

According to the programme’s official logline, the episode will “unpack Harry and Meghan’s public falling-out with the royal family and the potential ramifications of their return.”

It also looks ahead to one of the most emotionally significant royal anniversaries on the horizon, 30 years since the death of Harry and Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana.

“With the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death approaching, will the tension within palace walls give way to a royal reconciliation, or will the divide between the rival courts only grow wider?” the programme asks.

Royal author Elizabeth Holmes, who appears in the special, has now given followers a behind-the-scenes look at her involvement after travelling to Montecito for filming.

Taking to Instagram, Holmes expressed her gratitude to ABC News for bringing her to the California community that Harry and Meghan have called home since establishing their lives in the United States.

She shared a series of moments connected to the programme and revealed that filming did not end when her formal interview was completed.

“After the interview, we took a little field trip around Montecito and visited @hmerrick’s boutique,” Holmes wrote while sharing details of the experience with her followers.

The visit provided another Meghan connection, as designer Heidi Merrick has previously dressed the Duchess. Holmes revealed she was impressed enough by the fashion on display to purchase something for herself.

“I was so smitten by the fashion that I bought myself a little souvenir…I’ll give you one guess as to what I picked,” she teased.

Holmes also highlighted Meghan’s ivory silk-and-hemp Heidi Merrick dress, which the Duchess wore at the Royal Salute Polo Challenge in 2024, providing a fashion link between the Montecito visit and the Sussexes.

The author encouraged followers to watch the newly available special, writing, “You can watch ‘Harry & Meghan: The Return of the Prince’ on @hulu now.”

She ended her update with a playful message: “Now I shall go sit on my hands for the rest of the day/week/month…” As Harry and Meghan’s renewed connection with Britain continues generating interest, the television special places their return, royal relationships and Diana’s approaching anniversary firmly back in the spotlight.
