Pregnant Princess Eugenie Faces Fresh Scrutiny Amid New Royal Pressure

Princess Eugenie was reportedly looking forward to a more peaceful chapter in her life after recent Buckingham Palace updates, but fresh developments surrounding one of her long associated charitable projects have brought renewed attention and pressure.

The 36 year old royal, who is currently expecting her third child, has been linked to ongoing discussions around her work with the Anti Slavery Collective, a charity she co founded in 2017 alongside a close friend.

However, that optimism appears to have been disrupted after the UK Charity Commission confirmed it has opened a compliance case into the organisation.

A spokesperson for the Charity Commission said the review has been launched to assess concerns raised regarding charitable spending and governance practices within the organisation.

The regulator also stated that it will be engaging further with the trustees of the Anti Slavery Collective as part of the ongoing compliance process, although no formal findings have yet been made.

Importantly, officials clarified that the current action does not amount to a statutory inquiry and that no conclusions have been reached at this stage of the review.

Reports have previously suggested that the charity raised around £1.5 million in donations, while only a fraction of that amount, approximately £200,000, was spent on its activities during the same period.

The renewed scrutiny comes at a sensitive time for Princess Eugenie, who has already experienced increased public attention due to her family background and the controversies surrounding her parents, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.

The wider royal family has continued dealing with the long shadow of allegations involving Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his past association with Jeffrey Epstein, which has repeatedly placed the York family under intense media focus.

In earlier developments, Princess Eugenie also stepped down from a separate patronage role with Anti Slavery International, although no detailed explanation was publicly provided at the time.

That decision had already drawn attention, and the latest compliance case has now added another layer of scrutiny around her charitable associations.

Despite the controversy surrounding her family name and external pressures, Princess Eugenie has largely maintained a lower public profile while focusing on her family life and royal responsibilities.

Royal observers note that any administrative or governance review involving a royal linked charity tends to attract significant public and media interest, even when no wrongdoing has been established.

At this stage, the Charity Commission has not suggested any misconduct, and the compliance case remains an information gathering process intended to ensure proper standards are being met.

Still, the timing of the development is likely to increase emotional and public pressure on Princess Eugenie during what is already a significant personal period in her life.

As the review continues, attention will remain on how the Anti Slavery Collective responds to the inquiry and whether any further regulatory steps are taken in the coming months.
