Kensington Palace Shares Prince William and Princess Kate Update Following King Charles Meeting with Harry and Meghan

Kensington Palace shared a fresh update on Prince William and Princess Kate after King Charles held a private family meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Highgrove House. While attention remained focused on the King’s reported reunion with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the Prince and Princess of Wales carried out a major charitable engagement of their own.

Prince William and Princess Kate attended the DMMI Royal Charity Polo Cup 2026 at Guards Polo Club on Friday. The annual event raises vital funds for charities supported by the Prince and Princess of Wales and has become a key fixture in their royal calendar.

Their engagement took place in Windsor, Berkshire, roughly an hour’s drive from Highgrove House, where King Charles was reportedly spending private time with the Sussex family. Kensington Palace did not indicate that William or Kate would join the private gathering.

According to reports, King Charles was delighted to spend time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after several years apart. However, Buckingham Palace has not released details of the private family meeting beyond confirming it remained a personal occasion.

Media reports had previously suggested there was uncertainty over whether Prince William and Princess Kate would take part in any wider family reunion. Neither Kensington Palace nor Buckingham Palace commented publicly on those claims.

Instead, the Prince and Princess of Wales remained focused on their official engagement. Shortly after the polo match, Kensington Palace released a video highlighting moments from the annual fundraising event.

The Palace described the occasion as celebrating “15 years of using sport to support charities making a lasting difference across the UK and around the world.” The message emphasized the charitable purpose of the event rather than broader royal family developments.

According to Kensington Palace, this year’s charity polo match raised more than £1 million. The funds will support a wide range of organizations championed by Prince William and Princess Kate.

Among the charities benefiting from the event are Wales Air Ambulance, The Royal College of Paramedics, Shout, Tŷ Hafan, The Forward Trust, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, We Are Farming Minds, The Passage, and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

Prince William has supported the charity polo event for many years, using the annual match to raise significant funds for causes focused on healthcare, mental health, emergency services and community support.

Meanwhile, reports continue to suggest that relations between Prince William and Prince Harry remain strained following several years of public disagreements. However, neither brother has commented publicly on the latest speculation.

Some media reports have also claimed Princess Kate previously hoped to help improve relations within the Royal Family. Those reports remain unconfirmed, and Kensington Palace has not commented on them.

While public interest remains centered on developments involving the Sussex family and King Charles, the Prince and Princess of Wales continued to prioritize their charitable commitments throughout the day. Their official schedule remained unchanged despite widespread media attention.

For now, Kensington Palace’s latest update focuses on the success of the DMMI Royal Charity Polo Cup and its charitable impact. At the same time, details surrounding the King’s private family gathering remain limited, with royal officials continuing to respect the privacy of those involved.
