Prince George’s Blunt Reply Leaves Prince William And Princess Kate Laughing
Prince George’s Blunt Reply Leaves Prince William And Princess Kate Laughing as the Prince and Princess of Wales enjoyed a memorable family outing with their children at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Prince William and Princess Kate were joined by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they spent the day supporting athletes and attending a series of sporting events during the penultimate day of the competition.
The royal family appeared relaxed throughout the visit, speaking with competitors and taking part in several engagements while enjoying the lively atmosphere surrounding the Games.
One of the most amusing moments unfolded at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, where five-time Olympic champion Dame Laura Kenny jokingly suggested that the Prince and Princess of Wales should ride a tandem bicycle.
The playful suggestion immediately sparked laughter among those in attendance. Princess Kate smiled as she responded by saying that people had already been encouraging them to take on the challenge.
Welsh television presenter Gethin Jones then turned his attention to the royal children and asked whether they would like to see their parents attempt the unusual task.
Prince George did not need much time to think about his answer. The 13-year-old quickly replied with a firm and straightforward “No,” leaving those around him laughing.
Princess Kate appeared delighted by her son’s honest response, while Prince William seized the opportunity to continue the joke. The future King smiled as he told George that he and Kate embarrassed their children enough already.
Later in the day, the family met several Commonwealth athletes, including bronze medal-winning gymnasts Abigail and Emily Roper. The conversation soon turned to sport, school life and favourite activities.
Princess Kate proudly revealed that Prince Louis had recently been practising handstands. She encouraged her youngest son to share details of his new skill with the athletes.
Princess Charlotte also joined the discussion, explaining that she enjoys gymnastics and ballet. The young princess happily revealed that she, too, is capable of performing a handstand.
Meanwhile, Prince George once again demonstrated his sense of humour when the topic of flexibility arose. He jokingly admitted that activities requiring flexibility were not among his strengths.
The Wales family also spent time with members of Team Wales, discussing the competition and sharing stories about the children’s favourite sports at school.
The outing offered another glimpse into the close bond shared by Prince William, Princess Kate and their children. Judging by Prince George’s unforgettable response, it was also a day filled with plenty of laughter.
