Prince George Receives Heartfelt Message From Godfather Ahead of Eton Milestone

Prince George has received an important and touching message from his godfather as the young royal prepares for one of the biggest milestones of his life ahead of starting at Eton College later this year.

The eldest son of Prince William and Princess Kate is expected to begin his studies at the prestigious boarding school in September, following in the footsteps of both his father and uncle Prince Harry.

Ahead of the major transition, George’s godfather Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton shared warm comments about his role in the young prince’s life and his hopes for the future.

Lowther-Pinkerton, a former royal equerry and retired SAS soldier, has long maintained close ties with the royal family through both his professional and personal connections.

Before becoming Prince George’s godfather, he served as private secretary to Prince William and Prince Harry for nine years, giving him a unique relationship with both royal brothers.

Speaking about George’s upcoming move to Eton College, Lowther-Pinkerton made a heartfelt promise regarding his future support for the young royal.

He stated that he plans to become “a better godfather” as Prince George enters this important new stage of his education and personal development.

The former royal aide also joked that he is particularly good at bringing fun and adventure into his godson’s life, adding warmth and humour to his comments.

Royal observers believe Prince George’s enrollment at Eton College represents a defining moment in his gradual preparation for future royal responsibilities and public life.

The school has strong royal traditions and remains closely associated with the modern monarchy because both Prince William and Prince Harry previously studied there.

Lowther-Pinkerton also reflected on his involvement during King Charles’s Coronation in 2023, when he briefly returned to royal duties for a special role connected to Prince George.

He humorously described being “hauled out of retirement” to supervise Prince George and the other young pages participating in the historic ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

The comments highlighted the continued trust and friendship shared between the Wales family and the former royal aide, who remains an important figure in Prince George’s life.

During the conversation, Lowther-Pinkerton was also asked about the possibility of reconciliation between Prince William and Prince Harry following years of royal tensions.

However, he chose to avoid discussing the sensitive topic directly, diplomatically responding that he would rather “steer clear” of the issue involving the royal brothers.

As Prince George prepares for his next chapter at Eton College, support from trusted figures like Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton is expected to play a valuable role in helping the future King navigate life inside the royal spotlight.
