Buckingham Palace Shares Major King Charles and Queen Camilla Update as Prince Harry and Meghan Make UK Move

Buckingham Palace has shared a fresh update from King Charles and Queen Camilla just hours after reports emerged that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had moved into a new property in UK.

The monarch and his wife continued their official engagements in Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday, with the Palace highlighting several important moments from their visit.

The latest update came as the Sussexes reportedly settled into a different property on a friend’s estate in the Cotswolds, marking another development in their plans to maintain a base in the UK.

Harry and Meghan have reportedly been keeping away from public engagements for the time being, with suggestions that they want to avoid clashing with the Royal Family’s busy schedule.

Although the couple have not issued an official announcement about their reported move, the news has attracted attention because of the continuing speculation surrounding their future in Britain.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace focused its latest social media update on the King’s activities in Antigua and Barbuda.

“The King was greeted by crowds during a visit to Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua and Barbuda today,” the Palace caption explained.

Charles was shown meeting members of the public and learning about efforts to protect the country’s natural and built heritage.

Nelson’s Dockyard, a historic naval site, provided the setting for an engagement highlighting the importance of preserving the Caribbean nation’s cultural and environmental history.

Queen Camilla also undertook a series of engagements during the visit, focusing on issues affecting women across the Commonwealth.

She delivered a speech and met women working to support other women, alongside survivors of abuse and political leaders.

The Queen’s discussions included the importance of ensuring that women facing difficult circumstances can access appropriate support and assistance.

During her remarks, Camilla spoke about “signs of hope” for women’s safety and highlighted effective ways for women to reach out for help.

Her engagement placed attention on the work being carried out by advocates and organisations supporting women across the region.

The Palace’s latest update therefore offered a glimpse into the different responsibilities undertaken by the King and Queen during their Caribbean tour.

While the Sussexes’ reported UK move has generated renewed discussion about their plans, there has been no indication that the Palace’s announcement was intended as a response to the development.

For now, Charles and Camilla are continuing their official programme in Antigua and Barbuda, while Harry and Meghan’s reported change of accommodation remains a separate development in the wider royal story.
