Prince William Holds Private Meeting Days After Princess Kate’s Royal Foundation Talks
Prince William has held a private meeting with a key member of his and Princess Kate’s Royal Foundation days after the Princess of Wales had her own meeting with the same senior figure.
The Prince of Wales received Sarah Henwood, chief executive of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, at Windsor Castle on Friday, according to the latest Court Circular.
William’s engagement came just days after Kate met privately with Henwood on Monday, highlighting the close involvement of the Prince and Princess of Wales with the organisation’s senior leadership.
Henwood joined The Royal Foundation in February, taking over as chief executive from Amanda Berry, who had served in the position since 2022.
Her appointment marked a new chapter for the foundation as it continues to develop the projects and initiatives associated with William and Kate.
Before taking up the position, Henwood spoke positively about the opportunity to work alongside the royal couple and contribute to the causes they have placed at the centre of their public work.
She described the prospect of working on their “remarkable initiatives” with a sense of “awe, excitement and a fresh energy,” reflecting the significance of the role within the couple’s wider charitable operation.
The Royal Foundation has become an important platform for William and Kate, supporting a number of their long-term projects and campaigns across areas including mental health, early childhood and environmental work.
William’s latest meeting with Henwood therefore comes at a time when the foundation continues to play an important role in translating the couple’s priorities into practical initiatives.
The timing of the two meetings has also attracted attention because Kate’s discussion with Henwood was followed only days later by William’s private engagement with the foundation’s chief executive.
However, neither the Court Circular nor the Palace has publicly disclosed the specific subjects discussed during either private meeting.
The engagements do not necessarily indicate a major new development, but they underline the regular contact between the Prince and Princess of Wales and the senior leadership responsible for their charitable work.
William and Kate have continued to balance their royal duties with the development of projects intended to have a longer-term impact, making the foundation a significant part of their working schedules.
Henwood’s arrival earlier this year also gives the organisation a new senior leader as William and Kate prepare for further engagements and projects in the months ahead.
The Prince’s meeting at Windsor Castle was therefore another private working engagement rather than a public appearance, with details limited to the official record of the meeting.
For now, the latest Court Circular entry provides a glimpse into the work taking place behind the scenes, while the precise focus of William and Henwood’s conversation remains private.
