Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Share Heartwarming Update on Archie and Lilibet Ahead of Nottingham Return

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly feeling more settled in Britain as Archie and Lilibet adjust to their new school, with the Sussexes now preparing to turn their attention towards work ahead of their first joint public outing since returning to the UK in August.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are due to visit Nottingham on Thursday, October 15, marking a meaningful return to the city where they made their first official joint appearance after announcing their engagement in November 2017.

The upcoming visit comes after weeks of reportedly prioritising their children’s transition to life in Britain. According to a source quoted by People, establishing a routine and helping Archie and Lilibet settle into school were the couple’s main concerns after arriving in the country.

“After they first arrived in England, their focus was on establishing a routine and getting the kids settled into school,” the source said.

With that adjustment reportedly progressing well, Harry and Meghan are now said to be looking forward to spending more time on their professional commitments and the projects they care about.

“Now they’re both excited to focus more on their work and the projects that matter to them,” the insider added.

The source also described how the couple are balancing their work with family life, explaining that their weekdays are organised around the children’s school schedule while weekends offer time together as a family.

“During the week, while the kids are in school, they’re working. They’re enjoying family weekends together,” the source revealed.

For Meghan, the transition has reportedly involved maintaining her professional activities while staying connected to the friends she left behind in Montecito, California.

The insider described the Duchess as keeping busy and remaining in close contact with her circle in the United States, suggesting that she has continued to maintain those friendships despite the family’s change of location.

“She’s doing well. She’s keeping busy, as she always does, and staying in close contact with her friends in Montecito,” the source reportedly said.

However, the most reassuring part of the update concerned Archie and Lilibet, whose adjustment to their new surroundings has reportedly been central to their parents’ plans.

According to the insider, Meghan has remained focused on making sure the children feel comfortable as they adapt to life in their father’s homeland.

“She has a great attitude about it all. The kids have adjusted well and that’s the most important thing to her,” the source said.

The reported progress could give Harry and Meghan more room to resume public and professional activities without losing sight of their family priorities. Their Nottingham appearance will provide an opportunity to engage with local communities while continuing their work outside the Royal Family’s official programme.

The city also holds personal significance for the couple because of their earlier engagement-related visit, making the return a notable moment in their evolving relationship with Britain.

Their appearance should not, however, be confused with a return to official royal duties. Harry and Meghan stepped back as senior working royals in 2020, and their charitable activities are undertaken in a private capacity.

For now, the update paints a picture of a family establishing a new routine, with the children’s adjustment reportedly going well and their parents preparing to focus more closely on their respective projects.
