Prince Harry Forms New Alliance for Important Mission as Royal Family Tensions Deepen
Prince Harry is strengthening his alliance as he prepares for his important mission amid fresh tensions surrounding the Royal Family, with claims that the television star James Corden has become a particularly useful source of support for duke.
The Duke of Sussex is turning his attention towards Invictus as speculation continues about his relationships with King Charles, Prince William and other relatives following his extended return to Britain.
The Palace has simultaneously been dealing with the fallout surrounding Charles Spencer’s new memoir about his sister Princess Diana, which contains a series of disputed allegations involving the King and the events surrounding Diana’s death.
Senior working royals have continued with their public engagements throughout the controversy, while William and Harry have both avoided publicly endorsing Spencer’s most contentious claims.
Against that backdrop, Harry is reportedly concentrating on building support around the Invictus Games, which will take place in Birmingham next July.
Although there is currently no confirmation that Charles will make a special appearance at the Games, Harry appears to have at least one prominent celebrity supporter firmly in his corner.
Sources speaking to Rob Shuter claimed former Late Late Show host James Corden remains in regular contact with Harry and has established himself as one of the Duke’s dependable friends.
“They’re texting and calling all the time. Harry’s old friends haven’t exactly welcomed him back with open arms, but James keeps showing up — and Harry responds to that,” an insider claimed.
Corden’s connection with Harry has also crossed into the Duke’s Invictus work. The television personality recently hosted the Invictus Spirit Awards, demonstrating his continuing involvement with a cause that has remained central to Harry’s public life.
The source acknowledged that Corden has faced criticism over his own public reputation, but claimed his personal approach towards Harry has helped strengthen their relationship.
“With Harry, he knows exactly how to make him feel important,” the insider alleged, suggesting Corden has become particularly valuable as the Duke navigates a very different social environment following his return to Britain.
According to the report, some members of Harry’s former social circle have not immediately re-established their old friendships with him, leaving the Duke increasingly appreciative of people who have consistently remained supportive.
“Harry loves people who champion him, and James understands that,” the source claimed. “He flatters him, makes him laugh and makes him feel like the most important person in the room.”
Neither Harry nor Corden has publicly confirmed the insider’s description of their private friendship, and there is no evidence their relationship represents an organised response to the current royal tensions. What is clear, however, is that Corden has publicly supported Harry’s Invictus work, giving the Duke a familiar ally as he shifts attention towards Birmingham and one of the biggest events on his calendar.
