Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet School Rumours Force British School to Break Silence
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have prompted a British preparatory school to address growing speculation that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children could soon be joining its classrooms as the Sussex family prepares for an extended period in Britain.
With the beginning of the new school year approaching, a preparatory school in Oxfordshire reportedly sent a letter to parents directly addressing rumours that Harry and Meghan could be considering the private school for their two children.
According to the letter, which was verified and obtained by HELLO!, parents were informed that despite the growing “gossip” surrounding the possibility of Archie and Lilibet attending the school, no formal application had been received.
The letter reportedly made clear that “no application” concerning the Sussex children had reached the headmaster’s desk as of September 1, apparently putting an end, at least temporarily, to speculation linking the children with that particular school.
However, the school did not completely close the door on the possibility. Its admissions team was reportedly said to be remaining “ever vigilant,” leaving open the prospect that circumstances could potentially change as Harry and Meghan make plans for their children in Britain.
The name of the school Harry and Meghan have chosen is being kept under wraps because of security considerations. However, it was recently confirmed that both Archie and Lilibet have secured places at a British school ahead of their family’s extended stay.
The move would represent a major change for both Sussex children after spending much of their lives in the United States. Archie is expected to enter Year 3, while his younger sister Lilibet is set to begin Year 1.

Education expert Grace Moody-Stuart of the Good Schools Guide previously discussed what kind of environment could suit Archie and Lilibet as they adjust to the British education system following their upbringing in America.
Moody-Stuart suggested that the brother and sister could potentially attend the same school, arguing that keeping them together could make sense considering the significant adjustment both children may face after moving from an American environment into a British school.
She described the potential transition as a “massive culture shock” for Archie and Lilibet, who have grown up in the United States. Having the siblings together could therefore provide some familiarity while they become accustomed to their new surroundings and routines.
The education expert also suggested that a countryside co-educational preparatory school could provide a smoother transition for the Sussex children, pointing towards an environment that could potentially make their adjustment to British schooling easier.
While speculation surrounding the Oxfordshire preparatory school has now prompted an unusual response to parents, its statement that no application had arrived as of September 1 suggests the mystery surrounding Archie and Lilibet’s actual school remains firmly intact, despite confirmation that both children have secured British school places.
