Earl Of Derby Celebrates As Son Gets Engaged To Glamorous TikTok Aristocrat
The Earl of Derby has major reasons to celebrate ahead of this year’s famous Epsom Derby after announcing the engagement of his elder son and heir, Lord Edward Stanley, to aristocratic TikTok personality Victoria Jooris.
The exciting engagement news has quickly attracted attention across royal and aristocratic circles due to Victoria’s growing social media presence and the Stanley family’s deep connections to British history and high society.
Lord Edward Stanley, known to friends as Ed, is the eldest son of Edward Stanley and Countess Caroline Stanley. The 28 year old aristocrat is expected to eventually inherit the historic Knowsley Hall estate near Liverpool.
Ed became engaged to Belgian noblewoman Victoria Jooris, who has gained popularity online through her fashion focused TikTok content and glamorous lifestyle posts shared with thousands of followers.
Speaking about the engagement, the Earl of Derby expressed excitement over the couple’s future together. He revealed that the Stanley family has enjoyed getting to know Victoria over the last four years since first meeting her.
Victoria currently works as an associate at major investment company Bridgepoint while also building an online following through her stylish social media presence. She reportedly lives in west London.
The future bride also comes from an aristocratic background as the daughter of a Belgian baron. Before her relationship with Ed Stanley, Victoria was reportedly linked to Prince Alexandre D’Arenberg from one of Europe’s most well known noble dynasties.
Lord Edward Stanley himself has longstanding royal connections. The Eton educated aristocrat previously served as a page of honour to Queen Elizabeth II during her reign.
The Stanley family estate, Knowsley Hall, remains one of Britain’s most famous aristocratic properties. The grand residence features seventeen bedrooms and is closely linked to the well known Knowsley Safari Park.
The safari attraction was opened in 1971 by the Earl’s uncle and has remained a major attraction for decades. The Stanley family also maintains strong ties to major British sporting traditions including the Grand National horse race.
Until 2014, the Earl and his family reportedly traveled to the Grand National at Aintree accompanied by police motorcycle outriders during the short journey from Knowsley Hall to the famous racing event.
The family’s connection to British horse racing history stretches back centuries. The world famous Epsom Derby, held annually in Surrey, was originally established in 1780 by the 12th Earl of Derby.
Reports also revealed that Lord Edward Stanley’s godfather is Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, adding another royal connection to the aristocratic family. The engagement announcement has therefore sparked strong interest among royal watchers and society followers alike.
Ed and Victoria, who both attended Oxford University at different times, are expected to marry next year at Knowsley Hall. Their upcoming wedding is already being viewed as one of the most talked about aristocratic celebrations on the British social calendar.
