Queen Camilla Put Her Differences With Prince Harry Aside As King Charles Health Concerns Deepen

Queen Camilla has reportedly put her differences with Prince Harry aside as she focuses on supporting King Charles and his hopes of rebuilding a relationship with his younger son.

The Queen is said to have forgiven Harry for his past criticisms and attacks on her, choosing instead to support her husband as he attempts to bring greater peace to the royal family amid his ongoing health concerns.

Royal commentator Meredith Constant told Fox News Digital that Camilla has experienced much greater challenges during her life and marriage than the Sussexes’ decision to step away from royal duties or Harry’s memoir, Spare.

“Camilla has weathered far bigger storms than the Sussexes’ 2020 move, or Prince Harry’s book, ‘Spare,’” Constant said.

The commentator suggested that Camilla has continued to maintain a positive public face for Charles as the monarch works on his relationship with his younger son, even though Harry’s past comments about the Queen have reportedly caused hurt.

Constant also claimed that Charles and his elder son, Prince William, are not necessarily in agreement over how Harry’s return should be handled, highlighting the different perspectives within the royal family.

At the same time, the expert suggested that William and Charles understand the importance of standing alongside their respective wives, with neither expected to demand that their spouse take a position against them. “William wouldn’t expect Camilla to take a stand against her husband anymore than Charles would expect that of Kate,” Constant reportedly said.

Camilla was also said to have been in good spirits when Harry reunited with Charles for tea at the royal residence, with the meeting reportedly representing an important moment for the monarch and his younger son.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that Camilla’s supportive attitude should not come as a surprise given her commitment to Charles’s health and wellbeing. “Camilla is dedicated to the king’s health and welfare, so it’s not surprising,” Fordwich said.

Royal historian Catherine Mayer has previously described Camilla as a “non-negotiable part” of Charles’s life, emphasizing the important role she plays within the King’s personal and family world.

“There’s no reconciliation with [the King] without her,” Mayer reportedly said, suggesting that any meaningful improvement between Charles and Harry would inevitably involve Camilla as well.

Although Camilla once faced significant public opposition, she has gradually won over many royal watchers through her charitable work and her steadfast support for Charles throughout their marriage.

Despite the criticism she has received from Harry, Camilla is reportedly capable of putting personal feelings aside because of her concern for the King and his wellbeing. British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard acknowledged that Harry’s words had hurt the Queen but described her as resilient and deeply committed to her husband.

“She was hurt by Harry’s unkind words,” Chard said, adding that Camilla is “made of tough stuff” and remains a vital source of support for Charles as he continues his treatment.

Chard also said that Camilla’s priority is ensuring that Charles’s later years are filled with “peace, health and joy.” The Queen reportedly rushed to the July 10 meeting at Highgrove to support her husband rather than because of any personal affection toward Harry.

With Charles continuing treatment for an unspecified type of cancer, Camilla’s focus is reportedly centered more than ever on his wellbeing and happiness. Meanwhile, Prince William has so far reportedly remained without direct contact with his younger brother, leaving the future of the brothers’ relationship uncertain.
