Queen Camilla Could Hold the Key to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Reunion with King Charles

Queen Camilla could hold the key to a long awaited reunion of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with King Charles, with a royal expert suggesting that maintaining a positive relationship with the Queen could prove crucial for the Sussexes as they hope to reconnect with the monarch.
Despite returning to Britain and making a joint appearance in Nottingham, Harry and Meghan have reportedly yet to meet Charles, leaving questions about whether a family reunion will happen before Christmas.
The couple’s UK visit has renewed attention on their relationship with the Royal Family, particularly the possibility of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet spending time with their grandfather.
The children’s relationship with Charles has become a point of discussion amid the King’s ongoing cancer treatment and the family’s continuing differences. However, busy schedules and unresolved tensions have reportedly made arranging a meeting difficult.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward believes time is becoming a significant factor for the Sussexes, particularly as the festive season approaches and the royal family’s calendar fills up.
Speaking to The Sun, Seward said Charles “wants to see his grandchildren and get to know them”, suggesting that the opportunity for the King to spend meaningful time with Archie and Lilibet could be missed.
She warned that “a golden opportunity will be lost” if diary commitments prevent the family from finding time together, highlighting the difficulty of arranging private family moments around royal responsibilities.
Seward compared the situation with the late Queen Elizabeth II, who, she explained, often reserved quality time with her extended family for summer stays at Balmoral or Christmas and New Year at Sandringham.
The expert described it as sad that Harry and Meghan appear to have to navigate such difficulties over something she considers a birthright for their children: a relationship with their grandfather.
Yet Seward suggested that rebuilding family connections may require the Sussexes to approach the situation carefully, including maintaining relations with Camilla.
She argued that Harry and Meghan need to be seen on good terms with both Charles and Camilla if they hope to maintain their standing and relevance in royal circles.
“It is undeniable that Harry and Meghan need some royal gold dust to rub off on them if they are to remain relevant,” Seward said, adding that this means being seen to have a positive relationship with Camilla as well as the King.
According to the expert, Camilla could be particularly influential because of her position within the King’s family life. Seward described her as “the key to the King’s mood” and suggested she could be instrumental in how Charles approaches relations with his son and daughter-in-law.
Her comments place renewed focus on Camilla’s potential role in any future reconciliation, although there is no confirmation that she has been asked to intervene or that a meeting has been arranged.
For now, whether Harry, Meghan and their children will see Charles before Christmas remains uncertain. Seward’s assessment suggests that time, family relationships and the royal diary could all shape whether the Sussexes’ hoped-for opportunity becomes a reality.
