Meghan Markle Warns Prince Harry Against Throwing Himself At Prince William’s Feet
Meghan Markle has warned Prince Harry against throwing himself at Prince William’s feet in an attempt to repair their fractured relationship, despite supporting her husband’s efforts to rebuild ties with the Royal Family.
Harry may have been encouraged by his recent reunion with King Charles and his family, but his relationship with William remains a major obstacle to any wider reconciliation.
A source close to the Duke of Sussex reportedly believes William remains firmly opposed to bringing Harry back into the royal fold and thinks there may “never be a place for Harry” within the family.
Harry is nevertheless understood to miss his brother and Princess Kate, while also wanting his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to have a stronger relationship with their grandfather and the wider Royal Family.
The upcoming anniversary of Princess Diana’s death could provide another emotional moment for the brothers, particularly because their late mother remains one of the few things they continue to share.
However, hopes of a reunion appear uncertain, with William reportedly still deeply affected by years of disagreements and public revelations from his younger brother.
According to the reported claims, Meghan supports Harry’s desire to make peace but does not want him to humiliate himself or accept all the blame simply to restore the relationship.
Instead, the Duchess of Sussex allegedly believes that any reconciliation should be based on mutual accountability, with both brothers acknowledging their mistakes rather than Harry making all the concessions.
Meghan is therefore said to favour Harry and William sitting down privately as adults and discussing their differences away from the cameras and public pressure.
The conflict between the brothers has been developing for years, with disagreements over Harry’s relationship with Meghan becoming increasingly public after the couple stepped away from royal duties.
William has reportedly been particularly hurt by Harry’s account of an alleged physical confrontation between the brothers in 2019, which Harry described in his memoir Spare.
The publication of the memoir became another major setback for their relationship, as Harry revealed deeply personal details about his family and his experiences within the Royal Family.
Although Harry has argued that sharing his experiences was part of explaining the difficulties he and Meghan faced, the decision to publish such intimate revelations for a lucrative commercial project attracted significant criticism.
Harry’s desire to rebuild his family relationships therefore faces a complicated path, particularly with William reportedly remaining unwilling to simply move past the events of recent years.
For now, Meghan appears to be encouraging reconciliation on Harry’s terms rather than allowing him to beg for acceptance, with any lasting peace between the brothers likely to require effort and compromise from both sides.
