Meghan Markle’s UK Return Faces Doubts Amid Fresh Royal Criticism
Meghan Markle has received fresh criticism ahead of her possible return to the United Kingdom with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The Duchess of Sussex’s previous comments about royal life and Britain have once again become a major topic of debate.
Reports recently suggested Prince Harry is planning to bring Meghan and their children to Britain for promotional events connected to the Invictus Games 2027 in Birmingham. The expected visit has also fuelled speculation about a possible reunion between Harry and King Charles.
Despite the growing reports about the Sussexes’ return, some royal commentators believe Meghan Markle may still hesitate to travel back to Britain. Questions surrounding her relationship with the British public continue to attract attention online and in the media.
The latest criticism came from TalkTV host Kevin O’Sullivan, who discussed the Sussexes’ reported plans during a YouTube conversation with royal commentator Kinsey Schofield. O’Sullivan has frequently criticised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the past.
Speaking about the possibility of the couple returning to Britain, Kevin O’Sullivan claimed he believes the reports about the trip are likely true. However, he admitted he remains uncertain whether Meghan Markle will ultimately decide to appear in the UK.
O’Sullivan stated, “I think the stories are undoubtedly true that these plans are afoot.” He then added that he is not fully convinced Meghan will actually return to Britain when the time comes.
The television host also claimed that Meghan Markle does not enjoy being in Britain due to what he described as a lack of popularity among sections of the public. His comments quickly sparked further discussion among royal fans online.
Kevin O’Sullivan went on to say, “She doesn’t like Britain. I don’t think she’ll like the lack of popularity; she doesn’t enjoy herself here in Britain.” The remarks added to ongoing debate surrounding Meghan’s public image in the UK.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 alongside Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has remained a controversial figure among royal commentators and British media outlets. Public reactions toward the Duchess have often remained sharply divided.
The Sussexes’ interviews, documentaries and Prince Harry’s memoir Spare further intensified tensions between the couple and sections of the British public. Critics have frequently pointed to the pair’s comments about royal life and family disputes.
Despite the criticism, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield believes Meghan Markle is still likely to return to Britain alongside Prince Harry for the Invictus Games events. However, she suggested the visit may carry symbolic meaning.
According to Schofield, Meghan’s return could be interpreted by some observers as a “message of defeat” following years of tension between the Sussexes and the royal institution. Her comments have generated mixed reactions among royal supporters.
Prince Harry is believed to be eager for his children to reconnect with Britain and better understand their royal heritage and family background. The Duke has repeatedly spoken publicly about his wish to bring Archie and Lilibet to his homeland.
While speculation about the Sussex family’s UK return continues growing, no official confirmation regarding Meghan Markle’s attendance has yet been announced publicly. Royal watchers are now closely monitoring whether the Duchess will ultimately decide to make the trip.
