King Charles Appears to Support Prince Harry’s Invictus Mission Ahead of UK Visit
King Charles has sparked fresh discussion about Prince Harry after taking part in an event focused on supporting military veterans and individuals facing physical and mental challenges, themes closely linked to the Duke of Sussex’s Invictus Games mission.
The official Instagram page of the royal family shared a new video featuring the monarch during a visit to the Roger Gracie Academy in Hammersmith, where he observed Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training sessions.
According to the Palace statement, King Charles spent the morning learning about the work carried out by REORG Charity, an organisation dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans, and emergency service workers.
The charity uses Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training to help participants improve their physical health, emotional wellbeing, and social connection following trauma or difficult life experiences.
During the visit, King Charles watched demonstrations and spoke directly with students involved in the training programmes. Participants reportedly shared personal stories about how the sport had positively impacted their lives.
The discussions focused on the importance of physical activity and community support in helping individuals manage mental health struggles and rebuild confidence after injury or service related trauma.
Royal observers quickly noticed similarities between the themes promoted during the King’s visit and Prince Harry’s long standing work through the Invictus Games Foundation. Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014 to support wounded, injured, and sick military veterans through adaptive sports and international competition.
Over the years, the Duke of Sussex has frequently spoken about the transformative power of sport in helping veterans recover physically and emotionally while rebuilding purpose and self belief.
When Prince Harry was previously named to the Time 100 list of the most influential people in sports, he emphasized the life changing impact of the Invictus Games on participants around the world.
At the time, Harry stated that Invictus not only changes lives but also saves lives, highlighting the emotional and psychological importance of community, support, and resilience among veterans.
During his latest engagement, King Charles also took part in a symbolic moment by presenting a black belt to a member of the REORG team in recognition of their dedication and achievement.
The monarch himself was reportedly gifted a white belt during the visit, adding a personal touch to the engagement and further highlighting his interest in the charity’s mission.
The timing of the royal appearance has attracted additional attention because Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet are reportedly expected to return to the United Kingdom in mid July.
Although Buckingham Palace and the Sussex office have not officially confirmed the family’s travel plans, speculation surrounding a possible reunion between King Charles and Prince Harry continues growing.
Many royal commentators believe King Charles’s latest engagement reflects a shared understanding with Prince Harry regarding the importance of supporting veterans and using sport as a powerful tool for healing and recovery.
