Meghan Markle’s reported plan to focus on her business while dividing family responsibilities with Prince Harry is said to be adding pressure to the Duke as the Sussexes juggle work, parenting and expenses following their return to Britain.
Harry reportedly did not expect his homecoming to become quite so demanding, with the couple facing several challenges while attempting to establish a new routine for themselves and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to sources cited by Heat, the Sussexes’ return has required considerably more work than anticipated, with Harry barely having time to settle before being pulled between family and professional commitments.
Security has remained one of the couple’s biggest concerns, particularly after photographers were reportedly spotted near Archie and Lilibet’s new school, prompting a strongly worded response from the Sussexes.
At the same time, Meghan is attempting to maintain momentum around her own professional projects and brand rather than putting her career on hold while Harry manages his responsibilities.
A source claimed Harry is dealing with the “constant headache of trying to navigate the situation with his family which has been even harder than he anticipated.”
Meghan, meanwhile, is reportedly concentrating heavily on the children and her business interests as the couple try to divide their increasingly complicated schedules.
The insider claimed Meghan is “focused on the kids and her brand, and truth be told, she’s not interested in following him around like some Stepford wife.”
Instead, the Duchess reportedly believes the most practical approach is for the couple to “divide and conquer,” allowing both to pursue their respective commitments while sharing responsibilities at home.
“Her view is that they should divide and conquer and Harry agrees, but it does mean a whole lot more pressure on his shoulders and absolutely zero time to himself,” the source alleged.
Harry has continued travelling for engagements while also reportedly rushing home afterwards to take over parenting duties, giving Meghan the time she needs to concentrate on her own work.
The publication’s source further claimed financial pressures are contributing to Harry’s packed schedule. “If the bills weren’t piling up there’s no way he’d have packed his schedule this way,” the insider alleged. However, no detailed financial records were provided to establish the extent of any reported difficulties.
“He believes in what he’s doing so in that sense it’s very gratifying, but it’s still exhausting,” the source added, suggesting Harry remains committed to his projects despite the demanding workload.
