Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Sparks Spotify Deal Speculation After Secret Talks With Senior Executive

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have sparked speculation about a possible new venture after being spotted dining with a senior Spotify executive in London, three years after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ended their own high-profile partnership with the streaming giant.

The couple were photographed having dinner with Dustee Jenkins, a senior Spotify executive and prominent technology industry figure, at Michelin-starred Dorian restaurant in Notting Hill.

Their unexpected meeting has raised questions about whether Beatrice and Edoardo could be exploring a professional project with Spotify, although there has been no confirmation that any business agreement was discussed.

The timing has attracted additional attention as the Royal Family faces renewed scrutiny following Charles Spencer’s controversial Princess Diana memoir and Harry and Meghan’s extended return to Britain.

Beatrice, 38, has largely maintained a lower public profile while continuing her professional career outside the working Royal Family. She does not carry out official engagements as a full-time working royal.

Edoardo, meanwhile, has built his own career in property and is the founder of Banda, meaning both already have professional lives that operate independently of Buckingham Palace.

Jenkins’ presence at the dinner is particularly interesting because of her senior position within Spotify and her reputation for handling challenging corporate communications situations.

“She’s an old hand at crisis management,” a source close to Jenkins told The Mail on Sunday, adding another layer of intrigue to the meeting.

However, there is currently no evidence that Jenkins has been recruited to advise Beatrice, Edoardo or other members of the York family. The gathering was also reportedly connected to Jenkins’ birthday celebrations.

Photographs showed Beatrice and Edoardo appearing relaxed and in good spirits during the outing, giving little indication that the evening involved serious negotiations or crisis discussions.

Nevertheless, the Spotify connection has inevitably generated comparisons with Harry and Meghan. The Sussexes signed a major podcast agreement with the streaming company after leaving royal duties, with Meghan producing her Archetypes series before the partnership ended in 2023.

There is nothing so far to suggest Beatrice intends to follow Meghan into podcasting, and neither Spotify nor representatives for the couple have announced a new collaboration. Any suggestion of a secret deal therefore remains speculation based largely on the dinner meeting.

The outing also came shortly after Beatrice’s mother Sarah Ferguson rejected reports that she was preparing a lucrative tell-all memoir. Her spokesperson said she was “not close to signing a multi-million dollar book deal” and had “no plans to write any tell all memoir.”

For now, Beatrice and Edoardo’s dinner may prove to have been simply a private celebration between friends. But with a senior Spotify figure at the table and the York family facing intense public attention, the meeting has inevitably fuelled questions over whether the couple could soon have a surprising professional announcement of their own.
