Princess Anne is reportedly holding discussions with Prince William and Princess Kate about how the Royal Family should handle the fallout from Charles Spencer crises as King Charles faces another difficult period for the monarchy.
The Princess Royal, who has remained one of her brother’s most dependable working royals, is said to believe the family should avoid becoming drawn into an escalating public exchange with Diana’s brother.
The development follows claims that Palace advisers were forced to “intervene” after Charles wanted to deliver a stronger response to some of the damaging allegations Spencer made about him in his newly released memoir.

The source suggested Anne’s famously direct approach has been particularly valuable to William, claiming the future King has been able to maintain a “cool head in public” partly because of his aunt’s guidance.
There has been no official confirmation from Buckingham Palace or Kensington Palace that an urgent meeting between Anne, William and Kate has taken place, making the details of the reported discussions insider claims rather than established fact.
Nevertheless, the controversy surrounding Spencer has created an uncomfortable situation for the Royal Family because his claims concern one of the most painful chapters in its modern history.
