Queen Camilla Reportedly Takes Unexpected Step During Prince Harry’s UK Visit
Queen Camilla has reportedly decided to keep her distance during Prince Harry’s latest visit to the United Kingdom, even as King Charles is said to remain hopeful about repairing his relationship with his younger son. According to several royal experts, the Queen supports the King’s desire for reconciliation but prefers not to become personally involved in any family discussions.
Prince Harry is expected to be in Britain for events marking the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027. His return has once again placed the royal family’s private relationships under intense public and media scrutiny.
Despite ongoing tensions, reports suggest King Charles still hopes to rebuild ties with Prince Harry and eventually spend more time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, royal experts believe any progress will need to happen carefully and privately.
Royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner claimed that Queen Camilla has quietly supported King Charles’ wish to reunite with Harry. At the same time, he suggested she remains focused on protecting the King’s interests during a sensitive period.
According to Turner, Camilla understands the importance of family but also recognizes the challenges created by years of strained relations. He believes trust within the royal household has not yet been fully restored.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams also shared his perspective on the situation. He described Queen Camilla as someone who strongly believes in duty and understands how deeply the ongoing family rift has affected King Charles.
Fitzwilliams suggested that Camilla wants what is best for her husband while remaining realistic about the current state of family relationships. He noted that rebuilding trust is likely to take considerable time.
Meanwhile, royal expert Hilary Fordwich claimed Queen Camilla is unlikely to interfere if King Charles chooses to meet Prince Harry. However, she reportedly prefers to remain in the background rather than become directly involved.
Fordwich suggested that if a father-son meeting takes place, it would most likely happen privately without other members of the royal family present. She believes both Charles and Camilla prefer calm discussions over public confrontation.
Previous reports also claimed that Camilla intends to spend time away from royal engagements during Harry’s visit. According to those reports, she is expected to stay at her beloved Ray Mill home in Wiltshire rather than remain at the centre of palace activity.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl explained that Camilla often chooses to spend weekends with her own children and grandchildren whenever her schedule allows. She described the Queen as deeply family-oriented despite her demanding royal responsibilities.
Nicholl also praised Camilla’s dedication as Queen Consort, suggesting she has consistently supported King Charles behind the scenes. She added that any quiet efforts to encourage peace within the family would likely improve public perceptions of the Queen.
Broadcaster Helena Chard echoed similar views, saying Camilla would fully support a private meeting between King Charles and Prince Harry. However, she believes the Queen would deliberately avoid attending such a meeting herself.
Although speculation surrounding a possible reunion continues, Buckingham Palace has not commented on any private family discussions. For now, reports suggest Queen Camilla’s priority is supporting King Charles while allowing any future conversations with Prince Harry to take place away from public attention.
