Princess Diana’s Friend Issues Warning to Prince Harry Over Archie and Lilibet’s Future
A longtime friend of Princess Diana has issued a warning to Prince Harry, claiming that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet could one day question being kept away from their British roots. The comments come as Harry returned to the UK alone, while Meghan Markle and the couple’s two children remained in California amid ongoing security concerns.
Prince Harry arrived in Britain this week after weeks of uncertainty surrounding his accommodation and security arrangements. Although his visit was expected to include important charity engagements, renewed attention has also focused on his relationship with the royal family.
As originally planned, Meghan Markle did not accompany Harry on the trip, and neither did Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet. Reports have suggested the family remained in the United States because concerns over security have not yet been fully resolved.
Some reports have indicated that Meghan and the children could still join Harry later if suitable alternative security arrangements are finalized. However, there has been no official confirmation that such plans will go ahead during this visit.
Royal observers had also speculated about the possibility of a meeting between Prince Harry and King Charles. That potential reunion now appears uncertain as the King’s official schedule and ongoing planning issues continue to complicate matters.
One thing that was never widely expected was a reunion between Archie, Lilibet, and their royal cousins. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are not believed to be part of Harry’s plans during this latest visit.
Television presenter Kirstie Allsopp, whose late father Lord Hindlip was a close friend of Princess Diana, has now shared her concerns about the Sussex children’s future. She believes Archie and Lilibet may eventually question their limited connection with Britain.
According to Allsopp, the children could one day travel to the United Kingdom, meet members of their extended family, and feel they missed an important part of their heritage. She suggested they may resent losing the opportunity to experience their British roots while growing up.
Her comments have added another perspective to the ongoing debate surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to raise their family in California. The Sussexes have repeatedly emphasized their desire to provide their children with greater privacy.
Previous reports also claimed Harry had hoped to take Archie and Lilibet to visit Princess Diana’s grave at the Althorp estate. The historic family estate is managed by Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, and remains an important place of remembrance for the Duke.
Sources previously suggested Harry was deeply disappointed after changing those family plans because of unresolved security concerns. Reports even claimed the Duke became emotional over the possibility of postponing the meaningful visit.
Security has remained one of the biggest challenges surrounding Prince Harry’s visits to Britain since stepping back from royal duties. The ongoing dispute over police protection continues influencing whether Meghan and the children travel with him.
Despite the latest speculation, there has been no official response from Buckingham Palace or the Sussexes regarding the recent comments. Questions also remain over whether Harry will meet King Charles before returning to the United States.
As Prince Harry continues his engagements in the UK, discussions surrounding Archie and Lilibet’s connection to their British heritage are likely to continue. For now, the Duke’s visit highlights both his ongoing charitable work and the personal challenges that still surround his relationship with the royal family.
