Piers Morgan Reignited Feud With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle After New Criticism
Piers Morgan has reignited his long running feud with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, criticizing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over what he described as “double standards” following their latest social media posts featuring their children.
The outspoken British broadcaster questioned the couple’s approach to online privacy after they shared new photographs of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Although the children’s faces were obscured, the images quickly attracted widespread attention on social media.
Morgan argued that the Sussexes have frequently spoken about protecting children’s privacy online while continuing to share family photographs with the public. He said the two positions were difficult to reconcile.
Speaking in an interview with Woman, Morgan accused the couple of sending mixed messages about online safety. He questioned why they would encourage caution around children on social media while publishing images of their own family.
“My old friends the Duke and Duchess of Sussex keep preaching to us about privacy,” Morgan said. He added that sharing photographs of their young children with millions of followers contradicted the message they have promoted in recent years.
The television presenter went on to question the couple’s decision to release the birthday images, saying he could not understand why they would publicly post pictures after repeatedly discussing the risks associated with online exposure.
Morgan also addressed Meghan Markle’s possible motivation during the interview. He said that while supporters of the Duchess may view the decision differently, he believes it reflects what he considers to be inconsistent public messaging.
He argued that public figures should ensure their actions match the principles they promote. Morgan added that he believes people who speak publicly about important issues should also be prepared to follow the same standards themselves.
The broadcaster repeated his criticism during an appearance on 5’s The Royals Uncensored, where he again questioned the Sussexes’ approach to privacy. He suggested that their public statements and social media activity do not always align.
Morgan’s criticism is the latest chapter in his well-known dispute with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The disagreement has continued for several years and has included repeated public exchanges over issues ranging from media coverage to personal privacy.
Their relationship became especially strained in 2021 after Morgan left Good Morning Britain following controversy surrounding comments he made about Meghan after her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The broadcaster has also criticized the Sussexes in the past over environmental issues. In 2019, before the couple stepped back as senior working royals, he questioned their use of private jets while they publicly supported environmental causes.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not responded to Morgan’s latest comments. The Duke and Duchess have consistently maintained that protecting their children’s wellbeing remains one of their highest priorities while choosing to share only limited family moments with the public.
As debate continues over how public figures balance privacy with life in the spotlight, Morgan’s latest remarks have once again placed the Sussexes at the center of discussion. The exchange also highlights the ongoing differences between the broadcaster and the California-based couple, a feud that has shown little sign of ending.
