Kate’s route included climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, which stands at 4,413 feet and is the highest peak in the United Kingdom. She also successfully ascended Scafell Pike in England, reaching an elevation of 3,209 feet.
The final stage of the challenge took the Princess to Snowdon, also known by its Welsh name Yr Wyddfa, in Wales. The mountain rises to 3,560 feet and completed the demanding Three Peaks journey across the three nations.
Reports suggested that Princess Kate undertook the physical challenge largely on her own while receiving support from Mountain Rescue teams throughout the route. The achievement has been widely described as both physically exhausting and emotionally significant.
Royal commentators noted that Kate’s accomplishment may represent a historic first for the royal family. According to reports, no other senior royal is believed to have successfully completed the National Three Peaks Challenge before now.
