Ex Prince Andrew Humiliated As Former Diplomat Exposes Shocking Royal Behaviour
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has come under fresh criticism after a former British diplomat launched a brutal attack on the royal’s behaviour during his years as a trade envoy. The explosive claims have once again pushed the controversial royal back into unwanted headlines.
Simon Wilson, who served as deputy ambassador to Bahrain between 2001 and 2005, spoke openly about his experiences working alongside Andrew Mountbatten Windsor during overseas trips promoting British commerce and trade relations.
Wilson’s remarks painted an uncomfortable picture of the Duke of York’s conduct behind palace walls. The former diplomat claimed he was surprised by how confident and demanding Andrew appeared while carrying out royal duties abroad.
Speaking during an interview with the Australian program 60 Minutes Australia, Wilson described the royal as extremely difficult to manage. He claimed officials regularly received detailed instructions concerning Andrew’s personal preferences before official visits.
According to Wilson, embassy teams were informed that Andrew did not drink alcohol, tea, or coffee. Instead, the royal reportedly preferred still water served at room temperature without ice during official engagements overseas.
The former diplomat also alleged that Andrew’s staff seemed terrified of making mistakes around him. Wilson explained that many members of the royal entourage appeared nervous and uncomfortable while working during international tours.
He compared the atmosphere surrounding Andrew to the working environments of other senior royals. Wilson claimed that aides serving other members of the British royal family usually seemed proud of their positions and enjoyed traveling abroad.
However, he suggested Andrew’s staff behaved very differently. The diplomat claimed they constantly appeared anxious and careful, as though they were walking on eggshells during every stage of official visits and public appearances.
Wilson further alleged that embassy workers responsible for organizing the Duke’s travel arrangements also acted cautiously. He claimed officials worked under pressure because nobody wanted to upset Andrew during important diplomatic engagements.
Another major accusation involved Andrew’s travel demands while representing Britain overseas. Wilson claimed the royal refused to fly on commercial airlines even when first class seats were available for official government related journeys.
Instead, the former diplomat alleged that Andrew insisted on using private aircraft during many foreign visits. He also claimed the royal preferred staying in luxurious hotels rather than ambassadorial residences that would have cost taxpayers nothing.
The latest criticism comes as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor continues to struggle with public image problems linked to past controversies. His royal reputation suffered major damage following his association with convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein and his disastrous television interview in 2019.
Despite the harsh criticism from Wilson, some senior British politicians defended Andrew’s past work as a trade envoy. Former Chancellor George Osborne previously praised Andrew for promoting British exports during overseas business trips.
Former Foreign Secretary William Hague also defended the King Charles brother in earlier comments, insisting Andrew represented Britain effectively during his years working on international trade matters.
