Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing an eye watering bill as they begin their extended stay in United Kingdom, with fresh claims revealing just how expensive their latest move could become.

Even before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly returned to the UK, speculation had surrounded their financial position. Some royal commentators had suggested financial pressures could eventually push the couple towards spending more time in Britain.

However, Harry and Meghan appeared to return in style, reportedly arriving aboard a private jet. Their expensive journey immediately raised questions about who funded the trip and how the Sussexes plan to maintain their lavish lifestyle in Britain.

An insider cited by Woman’s Day has now claimed that Harry and Meghan are operating on a surprisingly restricted budget despite their luxurious arrival. The source particularly questioned the reported cost of bringing the family back to Britain by private jet.

“Meghan and Harry are running on a very limited budget so it’s a shock to see them blowing $120k on a private jet using the dogs as an excuse,” the insider claimed.

The couple’s expenses could increase considerably as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet reportedly prepare to begin school in Britain. According to the source, educating the Sussex children alone could cost Harry and Meghan more than $60,000 every year.

Their reported accommodation could create an even larger bill. “The kids schooling alone is over $60k a year and the house they’re renting is around $75k a month and that’s without the renovations Meghan’s planning,” the insider continued.

If accurate, a rental cost of $75,000 per month would amount to around $900,000 over an entire year. That figure would come before schooling, private travel, household expenses and any renovations reportedly planned for the property.

Archie and Lilibet are also said to have received new clothing for their latest chapter in Britain. The source claimed Meghan purchased a “whole new wardrobe each” for the children as they prepare to settle into their new routine.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan reportedly intend to maintain their life outside Britain rather than completely relocating their household. The Sussexes are said to be keeping their Montecito home in California as well as their reported property in Portugal.
