The insider added that Harry and Meghan want to spend more time in Britain while giving their children the chance to experience life on both sides of the Atlantic. “They want to have the time and give the kids the opportunity to be here,” the source explained, suggesting that the decision is being driven partly by what the couple believes could benefit Archie and Lilibet as they grow up.
The report also pushed back against the idea that Meghan simply gave in to Harry’s demand for a UK comeback. Instead, the decision was reportedly made jointly, with both parents considering what would be best for their family.
“Meghan feels very fortunate that they’re able to give Archie and Lilibet the opportunity to experience both worlds,” the report said, portraying the move as a family decision rather than a victory for one parent over the other.
However, not everyone believes the Sussexes will find their return straightforward. Alisa Anderson, a former press secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, warned that Harry and Meghan could face a difficult task rebuilding relationships in Britain.
“I don’t think they will be welcomed back with open arms,” Anderson said, according to the report, adding that the couple would have to rebuild trust and affection with both the Royal Family and the British public.
For Harry, however, returning to Britain could represent an important personal change after several years living in the United States. The Duke has continued to maintain strong connections with causes and organisations in his home country.
His involvement with the Invictus Games could be particularly significant as preparations continue for the event in Birmingham. According to the source, Harry is expected to remain heavily involved in preparations, with the insider saying, “He will be in the weeds on it every day.”
The source also claimed that Harry never completely stopped missing Britain despite building a new life in California with Meghan and their children.
