Princess Kate Could Make Huge Sacrifice To Make Peace With Meghan Markle
Princess Kate could make a huge sacrifice to make peace with Meghan Markle if a future reconciliation is considered beneficial for the Royal Family, despite the deep mistrust that has developed between the two women over the years.
The last time Kate and Meghan were seen together in public was in 2022, when they joined other members of the Royal Family to honour Queen Elizabeth II following her death.
Since then, relations between the Sussexes and the Waleses have remained strained, with Prince Harry and Meghan living in California while Prince William and Kate continue preparing for their future roles within the monarchy.
King Charles’ reported meeting with Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet at Highgrove in July 2026 was viewed as an important step towards reconciliation. However, William and Kate are understood to have remained cautious about the renewed contact.
William in particular is reportedly still angry over several controversial remarks made by Harry and Meghan about the Royal Family. Those past comments have contributed to the breakdown in trust between the two couples.
Despite the tension, there could still be a possibility of Kate and Meghan sitting down together in the future, particularly if such a meeting could help ease divisions within the Royal Family.
The subject was recently discussed by Daily Express host JJ Anisiobi and royal expert Daisy McAndrew, who considered whether the Princess of Wales could ever reach a point where she trusts the Duchess of Sussex again.
Anisiobi highlighted the difficulty of such a development, saying, “Catherine doesn’t trust Meghan Markle for good reason. Meghan Markle slated the royal family.”
He then asked McAndrew whether she could imagine a situation in which Catherine might eventually trust Meghan despite everything that has happened.
McAndrew suggested that a meeting could eventually take place, although she stressed that personal trust and a practical arrangement are two different things.
“I mean, trust is something so personal, isn’t it?” the royal expert said, adding that she could see a point when the two women might reach “some sort of arrangement for the good of the group, for the good of the firm.”
Her comments suggest that any future meeting may not necessarily mean that Kate and Meghan have completely repaired their personal relationship.
Instead, the Princess of Wales could potentially put her own feelings aside and make a significant personal sacrifice if she believed reconciliation would benefit the monarchy and prevent further divisions.
For now, there is no indication that Kate and Meghan are preparing for an imminent reunion. However, with Charles reportedly attempting to rebuild his relationship with Harry, circumstances within the Royal Family could continue to change.
