Meghan Markle Faces Fresh UK Concerns Ahead Of Possible Return With Prince Harry
Meghan Markle has reportedly received an unsettling update from Britain as speculation continues growing over a potential UK return alongside Prince Harry later this year.
The Duchess of Sussex is believed to be considering a visit connected to the upcoming Invictus Games event in Birmingham, an occasion closely linked to Prince Harry’s long running charity work and public identity.
At the same time, reports have suggested Meghan may also be interested in expanding her lifestyle brand As Ever into the British market, marking a possible new business chapter connected to the UK.
However, fresh comments from royal commentators have reportedly added to concerns surrounding how the Duchess could be received by sections of the British public if she returns.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive podcast, royal commentator Charles Rae claimed Meghan could face public booing during appearances in Britain.
He suggested that public reactions may become difficult for the Duchess to handle given the continuing tensions and divisions surrounding her and Prince Harry since their royal departure in 2020.
Charles Rae argued that whether Meghan appeared for a royal style engagement or a promotional event linked to her As Ever brand, there could still be visible resistance from some crowds.
The commentator further claimed that public enthusiasm for Meghan’s return to Britain remains limited among certain royal supporters and critics of the Sussexes.
The remarks come amid ongoing speculation about whether Prince Harry and Meghan are preparing for a more visible presence in Britain following reports of improving communication between Harry and King Charles III.
Despite the difficult relationship between the Sussexes and sections of the British media, Prince Harry has continued maintaining close ties to the Invictus Games, which remains one of his most important projects.
Royal observers believe any appearance connected to the Birmingham event would likely attract enormous public and media attention due to the ongoing fascination surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan’s possible business ambitions in Britain through As Ever have also sparked debate among commentators, with some questioning whether the UK market would warmly embrace her lifestyle brand.
Others, however, argue that Meghan still maintains a strong international fan base and continues attracting major global attention through her projects, public appearances, and social influence.
Since stepping away from royal duties, Meghan and Prince Harry have built a new life in Montecito, California, alongside their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Their relationship with Britain remains complex, shaped by public criticism, security concerns, and lingering tensions with parts of the royal family.
Even so, royal insiders continue suggesting that Prince Harry hopes to maintain a connection to his homeland and key charitable causes, particularly through the Invictus Games community.
Whether Meghan ultimately chooses to join him publicly in Britain could become one of the most closely watched royal developments of the year.
