Meghan Markle Shares Rare Archie and Lilibet Video as Face Reveal Speculation Grows
Meghan Markle has shared a rare glimpse of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet and her latest video offers no clear sign that the Duchess of Sussex is preparing to reveal her children’s faces publicly.
On Sunday, Meghan posted footage to her Instagram Stories showing Archie and Lilibet walking along a pathway while the Temptations’ song My Girl played in the background.
Archie, seven, could be seen riding a scooter, while his younger sister, five, walked beside him as a group of wild deer appeared in the distance.
The family’s Labrador retriever, Pula, also featured in the clip, following the children as they made their way along the path.
The video attracted attention because it was reportedly the first glimpse Meghan had shared of the children since concerns were raised about photographers allegedly appearing near their school.
Harry and Meghan’s spokesperson previously criticised the reported incident, describing the behaviour as reckless and raising concerns about the children’s privacy and safety.
The episode renewed discussion about the couple’s approach to protecting Archie and Lilibet from public scrutiny, particularly as interest in their lives continues despite their parents’ efforts to keep them largely out of the spotlight.
Some commentators have suggested that the limited availability of photographs showing the children’s faces has contributed to public curiosity. However, there is no evidence that revealing more of their identities would necessarily reduce unwanted attention.
The latest video provides a glimpse into the siblings’ everyday surroundings without establishing that Meghan intends to change her family’s privacy policy.
Royal commentators have also pointed to the approach taken by Prince William and Princess Kate, who generally share selected photographs of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis on special occasions, alongside occasional appearances at public events.
That strategy has been described by some observers as a way of maintaining a degree of privacy while allowing the public limited updates about the young royals.
However, the circumstances surrounding the Wales children differ from those of Archie and Lilibet, and there is no confirmation that Harry and Meghan plan to adopt the same approach.
The Sussexes have repeatedly sought to protect their children from excessive media attention, and the latest footage does not show the kind of clear, front-facing images that would constitute a public face reveal.
Instead, Meghan’s video offers a brief family moment featuring the children outdoors, with the music and natural setting providing the backdrop to the clip.
The timing has nevertheless prompted renewed speculation about whether the Duchess is responding to the recent privacy concerns or simply sharing a personal moment with her followers.
No statement accompanying the footage confirmed that it was intended as a response to the school incident, and Meghan has not announced any change to the way she shares images of her children.
For now, the video gives royal watchers a rare glimpse of Archie and Lilibet while leaving the question of a future face reveal unanswered.
