King Charles Plans First Face to Face Meeting With Harry and Meghan Before Christmas

King Charles is reportedly planning a face to face meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their children before Christmas, according to claims that the Sussexes could finally reunite with the monarch following their return to Britain.

The reported meeting would mark the first in-person reunion between Charles and the Sussex family since Harry and Meghan returned to the UK for an extended stay.

Celebrity reporter Rob Shuter said the King remains in contact with Harry and suggested that conversations between father and son could be helping to pave the way for an eventual meeting.

An unnamed source cited by Shuter claimed that the meeting is expected to take place before Christmas, although no exact date or location has been disclosed.

“It’s going to happen before Christmas,” the source claimed, describing the reported plan as another indication that relations between the Sussexes and the King could be moving forward.

The source also stressed that the reported reunion would not simply be an informal visit, suggesting that arrangements would need to be made before Charles sees Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet together.

According to the report, Harry and his father have already spoken since the Sussexes arrived back in Britain, although the precise nature or frequency of those conversations has not been publicly disclosed.

The possibility of an in-person meeting is particularly significant because Harry has previously spoken publicly about wanting to repair his relationship with his father and maintain a connection between Charles and his grandchildren.

The source claimed that Charles wants to see Archie and Lilibet, saying: “He wants to see his grandkids. So they will see each other.”

However, the same source acknowledged that the timing and location of any meeting remain unknown, leaving the reported plans without a confirmed public schedule.

The claim comes as Harry and Meghan continue to spend time in Britain while balancing their family life and separate professional commitments.

Harry has maintained a series of charitable and public engagements during the UK stay, including work connected with the Invictus Games, while Meghan has continued developing her own projects and spending time with the children.

A meeting with Charles would therefore represent an important family moment, particularly because Archie and Lilibet have spent much of their lives living in California and have had limited opportunities to spend time with their grandfather.

The reported development also comes against a complicated backdrop, with tensions between Harry and senior members of the Royal Family remaining unresolved despite occasional signs of communication.

There has been no official confirmation from Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace or the Sussexes that such a meeting has been arranged.

For now, the reported pre-Christmas reunion remains a claim from Rob Shuter and an unnamed source rather than a confirmed royal event, but if it does take place, it would represent a significant opportunity for Charles to spend time with Harry, Meghan and his two younger grandchildren.
