Meghan Markle’s New Video Fuels Spencer Collab Talk as Royal Family Row Deepens
Meghan Markle’s latest As Ever video has fuelled speculation about a possible connection to Charles Spencer after the Duchess promoted a navy leather bookmark amid growing talk that she and Prince Harry could eventually collaborate with Princess Diana’s family.
The Duchess of Sussex has continued promoting her lifestyle business following the family’s return to Britain, with As Ever regularly sharing new products and updates through its social media account.
Its latest video offered followers a closer look at a leather bookmark, which has now been released in navy for the first time.
“A closer look at our Leather Bookmark, now available in navy for the first time,” As Ever wrote alongside the video. “Made for the pages you’ll want to come back to.”
The timing attracted attention because Charles Spencer’s newly released memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, has become the centre of a heated disagreement involving King Charles and Buckingham Palace.
Some social media users have consequently interpreted Meghan’s renewed promotion of a reading-related product as a possible subtle show of support for Harry’s uncle during the controversy.
The bookmark also features the message “Only Gets Better,” adding another detail that has prompted some royal watchers to search for a deeper meaning behind the promotion.
However, As Ever’s bookmarks are not a new product created in response to Spencer’s memoir. Meghan first launched bookmarks in February, with the latest promotion representing a restock and new colour variation.
There is also no reference to Diana, Spencer, his memoir or the Royal Family anywhere in the promotional caption, leaving no direct evidence that Meghan intended to send a message about the ongoing dispute.
The speculation has nevertheless been strengthened by separate reports suggesting Harry and Meghan could develop closer ties with members of Diana’s family following their renewed presence in Britain.
According to Woman’s Day, one possibility being discussed is that the Sussexes could “team up” with the Spencers for charitable projects in the future.
The publication also raised the possibility of “some sort of collab for Meghan’s brand,” although no details of such a project have been announced and the claim remains based on unnamed sources.
Any genuine collaboration between Meghan’s business and the Spencer family would likely attract considerable attention given the current dispute between Charles Spencer and Buckingham Palace over allegations contained in his Diana memoir.
For now, however, Meghan’s bookmark video remains an As Ever product promotion rather than confirmed support for Spencer. Neither the Sussexes nor the Spencers have announced a collaboration, meaning suggestions that the Duchess is deliberately teasing the Royal Family or quietly backing Harry’s uncle remain speculation unless either side establishes a direct connection.
