Meghan Markle Faces Exciting New Career Opportunity After UK Return
Meghan Markle is said to be very excited for potential acting opportunity in Britain as she prepares to spend an extended period in the UK with Prince Harry and their children, with an industry expert claiming there would be strong interest in seeing the Duchess of Sussex return to the screen.
The reported opportunity comes as Meghan’s connection to Britain is once again attracting attention. The former actress is expected to spend more time in the country following the Sussexes’ reported decision to establish a longer-term base there.
According to reports, Meghan has been offered an acting role in a UK-based project that has yet to be officially announced. Details about the production remain unclear, and there has been no confirmation from Meghan or her representatives about the alleged offer.
However, Professor Jonathan Shalit, chairman of InterTalent Rights Group, believes Meghan would have little difficulty attracting interest if she decided to resume her acting career. Speaking to the Mirror, Shalit suggested that Meghan could pursue acting independently of her royal identity and potentially return to the industry as an actress.
“If she wants to return to acting, I have absolutely no doubt there would be interest in her,” he said, adding that the industry could be interested in Meghan “as an actress rather than simply as the Duchess of Sussex.”
The expert believes Meghan’s international profile would make her an attractive proposition for producers. Her years as a member of the Royal Family have given her a level of global recognition that few returning actors could match.
Shalit argued that directors and producers would be willing to meet Meghan if she seriously decided to pursue acting again. He suggested that her name recognition could help generate considerable interest in any project involving her.
Meghan’s decision would nevertheless be the biggest factor determining whether audiences see her back on screen. The expert stressed that the question is not necessarily whether the British or American entertainment industries would welcome her, but whether she genuinely wants to return.
“If Meghan decided tomorrow that she seriously wanted to act again, directors and producers would absolutely want to meet her and audition her,” Shalit said. He added that her “enormous name recognition” and “extraordinary international profile” could make her particularly appealing to film and television producers.
Meghan became internationally known as Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits, appearing in the series for seven seasons before leaving the show as her relationship with Harry developed.
Her acting career largely ended when she married Harry and became a senior working member of the Royal Family. The couple later stepped down from their royal roles and moved to North America, where they pursued media and commercial projects.
However, Meghan has already shown that she is not completely opposed to appearing on screen again. Earlier this year, she filmed a cameo appearance as herself for the upcoming comedy film Close Personal Friends, alongside Emily in Paris star Lily Collins.
A return to acting would therefore represent a significant new chapter for Meghan, particularly if she chooses to work on a British production while spending more time in the country.
For now, the reported UK acting opportunity remains unconfirmed, and Meghan has not publicly indicated that she intends to revive her former career. But with her return to Britain potentially opening new professional possibilities, the Duchess could find herself facing an unexpected choice between her established lifestyle in California and a fresh opportunity in the entertainment industry.
