Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Prepare Major Return As Royal Status Debate Resurfaces

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly preparing for a significant return to Australia nearly seven years after their last visit, a move that could place the couple back at the center of royal discussion.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex last visited the country in 2018 when they were still working members of the royal family. Their tour across Australia and the South Pacific drew huge crowds and global media attention.

At the time, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle represented the monarchy on official duties, meeting community leaders and attending events that strengthened ties between the United Kingdom and Australia.

Since then, the couple’s lives have changed dramatically. Their decision to step back from royal duties in 2020 transformed their roles within the monarchy and reshaped their public careers.

Now reports suggest the Sussexes could return to Australia in mid April. The visit is expected to focus largely on business projects, media opportunities and charitable initiatives.

Sources claim the trip may include stops in Sydney and Melbourne where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to reconnect with long standing contacts and explore new collaborations.

The potential visit could also place Meghan Markle back in the spotlight within the media industry. The Duchess of Sussex has increasingly focused on entertainment and storytelling projects in recent years.

After her well known Spotify podcast Archetypes concluded in 2022, Meghan Markle is now expected to appear as a guest on a new podcast connected to the Besties media platform.

The show Her Best Life was launched by Australian media personalities Jackie O Henderson and Gemma O Neill, and Meghan Markle’s appearance would likely attract global attention.

Industry insiders believe the Duchess could also appear at a Besties live event during the trip. Such an appearance would allow Meghan Markle to speak about entrepreneurship, lifestyle topics and media ventures.

While Meghan Markle’s schedule is expected to revolve around speaking engagements and media collaborations, Prince Harry’s time in Australia may focus more on personal connections.

The Duke of Sussex has long maintained strong ties with Australia following several earlier visits. His connection deepened during a month long placement with the Australian Defence Force in Darwin in 2015.

That experience allowed Prince Harry to build close friendships with members of the armed forces and local communities across the country.

Sources say the Duke may use the upcoming trip to reconnect with those military contacts and attend events supporting Australian veterans and service members.

As plans for the visit take shape, the return of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Australia is expected to revive public conversation about their evolving global role after stepping away from the royal household.
