Meghan Markle’s ‘As Ever’ Brand Parts Ways With Netflix As Duchess Moves Forward Independently
Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever has officially parted ways with Netflix, marking a new chapter for the Duchess of Sussex as she prepares to expand the venture independently.
The announcement confirmed that the brand, launched with financial backing from the streaming platform last year, will now operate on its own without direct involvement from Netflix.
According to statements released by both sides, the separation was amicable and appears to have been part of the long-term plan for the brand’s development.
Meghan Markle originally introduced the lifestyle venture As Ever as a project centered around home living, cooking, and everyday inspiration.
The brand was created to reflect Meghan’s interest in elevating simple daily experiences through thoughtful design, food, and lifestyle ideas.
During its first year, Netflix helped support the brand with funding and behind-the-scenes resources as part of its broader collaboration with the Sussexes.
A spokesperson for As Ever said the company appreciated the role Netflix played in bringing the brand to life during its launch phase.
The representative explained that the partnership helped establish the brand during its early growth and contributed to its initial success in the market.
They also noted that the company has now reached a stage where it can continue its development independently.
Netflix released a supportive message following the announcement, highlighting Meghan’s passion for creating a lifestyle brand focused on simple yet meaningful moments.
The streaming company said it was pleased to have helped bring Meghan’s vision into reality and wished the brand success as it moves forward.
The partnership originally stemmed from the broader agreement between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Netflix, which was signed in 2020.
That deal, reportedly worth around $100 million, was designed to produce films, documentaries, and television projects for the streaming platform.
Among the projects produced under the arrangement was Meghan’s lifestyle series With Love, Meghan.
The program ran for two seasons and also featured a Christmas special, focusing on cooking, lifestyle inspiration, and Meghan’s personal interests.
However, viewership data later suggested that the first season did not break into Netflix’s list of the top 300 most watched shows during the first half of 2025.
Last year, the Sussexes’ contract with Netflix was also adjusted to a “first-look deal,” giving the company priority access to any future projects they might propose.
Despite the separation from the As Ever partnership, the status of that broader content deal remains unchanged for now.
As Meghan Markle continues building As Ever independently, industry watchers will be closely observing whether the brand can expand its reach without the direct backing of Netflix.
